The Weigle lecture honors the memory of Jean Weigle, who was instrumental for the development of Molecular Biology in Geneva (for more information, please read the page referring to the history of our Department). Almost every year, a well-respected scientist in the field of Molecular Biology, is invited to give the Weigle lecture and in doing so, to honor Jean Weigle.

36th Weigle Lecture - March 28, 2019 - Emmanuelle Charpentier

The 36th Weigle Lecture will be given on Thursday, March 28, 2019 by Professor Emmanuelle Charpentier, Director of the Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens, Berlin, Germany. The title of the Lecture is: "CRISPR-Cas9: Transforming Life Sciences through Bacteria". Place and time: 5:00 pm, Auditorium A300 of Sciences II, 30, Quai Ernest Ansermet.
